Residential drywall services in Twin Cities, Minnesota

Hang, finish, repair, and remodel. One trade, paint-ready, with the finish level the room actually needs.

Builders + custom homes

New construction hang & finish

We hang and finish to a paint-ready Level 4 as the default, on a schedule your superintendent can actually use.

From spec homes to one-off customs, we treat hang and finish as one trade: framing checks, board choice, bead, coats, and a punch that does not bounce. We coordinate around mechanicals and inspections instead of fighting them.

Remodel & addition drywall

New rooms that meet old walls without a visible seam of shame. Occupied-home habits by default.

Additions, kitchen walls, and opened floor plans mean matching planes, textures, and corners that already exist. We protect floors and finishes, contain dust, and leave you paint-ready — not “close enough for the painter to fix.”

Holes, cracks, nail pops, water-damaged board

Drywall repair

Patches you should not be able to find once the paint dries. We replace water-damaged board — we are not mold remediators.

Doorknob holes, moving-day damage, nail pops, and cracks from settlement are everyday work. If board is wet or crumbling, we cut it out and replace it. If you have a mold problem, bring in a remediator first; we hang and finish after the assembly is actually dry and cleared.

Living rooms, bedrooms, halls

Ceiling work & popcorn texture removal

Popcorn off, joints treated, and a ceiling that can take a modern flat or a true skim.

Popcorn removal is messy if you skip containment. We isolate the room, take the texture down, repair what the spray was hiding, and finish to the level the lighting needs. Asbestos testing is on the owner when the home’s age calls for it — we will tell you when to pause and test rather than guess.

Drywall scope in below-grade space

Basement finishing

We hang the drywall scope — moisture-resistant board in wet areas — and stay honest about what drywall cannot fix.

Basements need the right board in the right places: moisture-resistant gypsum at tubs, showers, and other wet walls. We are not a waterproofing company. If the space still weeps or smells like a crawlspace, solve moisture first. Then we will give you walls worth finishing.

Garage fire-separation upgrades

Plain-language fire-separation drywall, verified with your local building department.

The International Residential Code (IRC R302.6) generally wants gypsum on the garage side of walls shared with the house, and 5/8" Type X on garage ceilings under habitable rooms where that assembly is required. Local amendments apply. We confirm the assembly with the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) before we hang, and we do not pretend a sheet of rock replaces a full fire-stop package around penetrations.

Critical light, dark colors, gloss

Level 5 / smooth-wall packages

A true full skim — not “extra sanding.” For rooms where the light will tell on every joint.

Level 5 is Level 4 plus a thin skim of joint compound over the entire wall or ceiling. We use it when grazing light, dark paint, or gloss will telegraph fasteners and joints. It costs more because it is more labor. We will say so up front rather than upsell every closet.

Orange peel, knockdown, and existing patterns

Texture matching

We match what is already on the house so a repair does not become a new feature wall.

Orange peel, knockdown, and light splatter can be matched when we can see and feel the existing pattern. Heavy skip trowel and specialty looks need a sample board. We would rather show you a test patch than hope the painter blends it.
